Join the lab

We’re always interested in meeting prospective students and postdocs who are interested in advancing scientific understanding of changing water and climate. Ideal qualities in potential group members are enthusiasm, a collaborative spirit, communication skills, and a willingness to learn to use reproducible computational tools for hydrology. Our lab values diversity, equity, and justice, and we welcome applications from students with non-traditional backgrounds.

Students can be admitted into the MS or PhD programs in Hydrologic Sciences & Engineering (HSE) or Geology & Geological Engineering.  Funding opportunities may be available through a combination of research and teaching assistantships or external fellowships. Specific funded opportunities will be listed below.

Please note – I’ll do my best to respond to all inquiries, but this may not be possible due to a high volume. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Open opportunities

We’re recruiting a postdoc to work on a CIROH-funded project! The postdoc will work on a sensitivity analysis of a new USGS-developed model, with a particular focus on snow and soil moisture data. Full details here.
