Portraits of the Mines graduating classes used to hang on the 3rd floor of the Arthur Lakes Library, https://library.mines.edu/. The portraits have since been moved into storage. Below is a list of graduating class that have Asians in them. The library is in the process of putting together a more inclusive diversity display in its place.
Kyosuke Iwai (from Chibaken, Japan) graduated with a degree in Engineer of Mines (Met.E.) in 1909.
Fan Chen (from Hen Chou, Hunan, China) graduated with a degree in E.M. in 1916.
Shih-Hung Hu (from Kin Kiang, China) graduated with a degree in E.M. in 1916.
Kwei L. Hsueh (from Kiangsu, China) graduated with a degree in Engineer of Mines (Met.E.) in 1917.
Robert P. Lu (from Chu-Tan, Kiangsu China) graduated with a degree in Engineer of Mines (Met.E.) in 1922.
Hsien-Min Meng (from Soochow, China) with a degree in Geol.E. in 1925.
