If you would like to contact me before you apply, please use the following guidelines to write your Express of Interest email.

  1. Title: Start with “PhD Application – “, followed by your full name, then the prospective semester and year. (e.g., “PhD Application – John Doe, Fall 2024”)
  2. First Paragraph: Self-introduction highlighting your primary qualifications.
  3. Second Paragraph: Detail your research interests.
  4. Third Paragraph: Any additional information you wish to provide.
  5. Attachment: Your CV/Resume. You may also include any other related materials.

Using this format helps in email organization and ensures your emails isn’t overlooked inadvertently.

Propose Your Own Project

Students are strongly encouraged to propose their own projects for their PhD studies. These projects should be centered around cybersecurity or combine cybersecurity with other Computer Science fields. If you have compelling research ideas or projects you’re passionate about for your PhD, please reach out, and we can explore them together.
