ABOUT

Hello! I am a Professor and a proud alumna of the Colorado School of Mines. My interdisciplinary research focuses on applying Machine Learning to Geophysical data to detect anomalous events in earth dams and levees. The understanding and utilization of the massive amounts of data we collected were critical and have applications across various aspects of computer science.

I have a deep love for teaching and traveling abroad. During my PhD, I had the opportunity to study levee systems in Amsterdam and collect valuable data. My undergraduate studies were also in computer science, and one of the coolest industry experiences I’ve had was working for Ball Aerospace, where I wrote flight code for a NASA-sponsored project. When I’m not teaching or attending meetings at the university, I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family, taking in the beauty of Colorado.

I am dedicated to guiding you on your journey as you expand your knowledge and skills.
